The SPCA and what they do

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or SPCA is a charity that helps and saves abused and abandoned animals. This charity helps protect around 40,000 injured, sick, abused or abandoned animals a year. At their animal centers the give sanctuary to all types of different animals and try to re home them whenever possible.

  1. Kia ora Nehemaia, this is Zana from the summer learning journey.
The SPCA is a great charity and they help animals throughout New Zealand by providing medical care, shelter and rehoming. What's great about the SPCA is that they are a charity and rely on the support of their communities through donations, fundraisers and income from their SPCA charity stores. Do you have any pets? I have a cat that we adopted from an SPCA type of shelter.
